Dan was born and raised (but never grew up) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After obtaining his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees from the University of Wisconsin – Stout, he was on the move! Since then, Dan has visited all fifty states and lived in a tenth of them. He’s circumnavigated the globe and has been to about 14 different countries, never meeting a stranger along the way. Dan started his career managing risk in a nuclear weapons manufacturing plant and then moved on to risk management and consulting for various public entities across the United States.
Dan is no stranger to risks and has embraced many personal risks including but not limited to jumping out of an airplane, racing Porsches, water skiing, snow skiing, jet skiing, boating, camping, hiking, biking and more. Not a daredevil per se—just a curious individual who would like to bring out the best in you and your organization.
Dan Pliszka is a respectfully irreverent and enthusiastic public speaker, author, photographer, artist, husband, dog-father, thinker, traveler, observer, teacher, chef, handyman, smart-ass, wine enthusiast, motorhead, entertainer, dreamer and wanna-be futurist (whatever that will be).
